Meet the Makers 01

The first event in the Meet the Makers series, Fragments of Handicraft and Design in the Lagoon, showcased five artisans from diverse fields, all connected by their artisanal production methods, meticulous craftsmanship, high-quality design, and a deep respect for materials.

Beyond their aesthetic and cultural significance, craftsmanship was explored as a work model that prioritizes thoughtful production processes, extends product life cycles, and reduces waste and pollution. Attendees heard the stories of Fernando Masone, Daniela Levera, Stefano Morasso, Marisa Convento, and Piero Dri, each sharing insights into their craft. Designer Omri Revesz acted as the bridge between authentic Venetian craftsmanship and contemporary international design.
