Long “Gibigiana” necklace

The "gibigiane" are the gleams of light that radiate from the water of Venice's canals, creating intricate reflections on the stone walls and bridges. The "sommerso" beads feature layered glass illuminated by aventurine, a magical copper-infused glass paste. At the center is a "paternostro" bead—a voluminous bead inspired by traditional rosary beads, created by covering a wooden base with vintage seed beads ("conterie") and aventurine. The necklace is completed with a long tassel, meticulously handcrafted using traditional Venetian bead-stringing techniques with exceptionally long needles, reminiscent of the work of the city's historical beadstringers.
