A vibrant and creative representation, Water in the world was crafted by Sandra Mavaracchio for the third national competition A lace for Venice, focusing on the theme of water. The choice to depict a star stems from a desire to symbolically guide better ways to redistribute water resources across the planet. Maravacchio’s inspiration and creativity have transformed this concept into an artwork where design and technique intertwine to narrate a story of awareness. Traditional Burano lace becomes an expressive medium, engaging with contemporary issues.
