Joshibi University (Japan)

We had the pleasure of reconnecting with Joshibi University for an educational journey organized by Maker Mile. This collaboration, which has been ongoing for three years now, continues to bring us increasing satisfaction. We are grateful to Joshibi for their constant commitment to involving students in environments that preserve and pass down centuries-old traditions, not only in Japan but also in other parts of the world.

With the class, we visited a gondola workshop, discovering the process of gondola construction; we immersed ourselves in the art of goldsmithing, thanks to a craftsman who combines finesse, references to the city, and the search for rare stones; and we explored a restoration workshop, where we learned the art of recovering and enhancing traditional Venetian materials and techniques.
