Tale Team Building

Maker Mile accompanied the team from Tale — a marketing agency that grounds its approach in care and "design slowness" — on a journey to discover artisan workshops that distance themselves from the "everything now" logic, to which more and more commercial businesses succumb. The encounter was born from an evident synergy of approaches and a shared interest in exploring stories and skills off the digital beaten track, capable of inspiring a human, open, and conscious vision of work.

The journey unfolded in harmony with the city, at a slow pace, stopping at historic workshops such as that of the last woodturner in Venice. Here, the team observed firsthand a craftsmanship that resists time, built on dedication, absolute concentration, and manual precision. We then witnessed the casting process in a foundry — a production ritual that allowed participants to immerse themselves in a temporal dimension marked by the rhythm of matter changing form and the intensity and resonance of the heat. The day concluded with a visit to a young restorer, offering a moment of dialogue on how the preservation of the past can coexist with the sensibility of new generations.

The day spent with Tale was an opportunity to reaffirm how the dialogue between traditional craftsmanship and the contemporary world can generate new creative stimuli, fostering a design approach that is reflective yet dynamic, and deeply rooted in the local territory.
